For Those who Belong to Swing Voters

For those who belong to swing voters.
As the 9th July comes…..
Here are the unexpected candidates.

Prabowo Subianto – Hatta Rajasa #IndonesiaBangkit
Joko Widodo – Jusuf Kalla #RevolusiMental

While I’m writing this blog, I have not decided yet.

In my opinion, it’s about point of view. I want Anies Baswedan to be the Education and Culture Minister and I don’t wanna be ruled under Chinese in Jakarta.

It’s obvious. In the governor elections in 2012, I elected Faisal Basri, with his tagline “Berdaya Rame-rame”. In fact, Jokowi-Ahok win the election. Later on, Jokowi is pointed by Megawati to be the President candidate from PDI-P. It surprises people, and also Prabowo Subiato, who has already announced to be the president candidate from Gerindra, but not surprises ARB, who tries so hard to be the president, but failed. Just go home, mr. ARB! Next, when Jokowi announced to be the president candidate, many of Jakartans are feared to be governed by Chinese-Ahok. Be honest, guys! Since Jokowi-Ahok rule Jakarta, there are many changes. Tanah Abang, Waduk Ria Rio, and all the sub-district’s major offices as well as the transparency-governance system. Jokowi-Ahok succeed to create civil servants to work for Jakartans. We are served. And, I still need that pair and their contribution for Jakarta, at least for another 3-year. However, I’m afraid that Ahok can’t rule Jakarta with the interventions of people who can’t accept diversity. That’s why many moslem parties support Prabowo-Hatta. Maybe.

On the other hand, Prabowo reminds us of violence in May 1998. With his military background, he becomes ‘more assertive’ figure than SBY. Many of activists, journalists, celebrities ignore Prabowo. Then, they support Jokowi to win the president election. Most of people who I follow in Twitter, support him, in line with the avatar of “I stand on the right side”, which has already  belonged to the international human rights campaign. Many of them are feared to be governed by Prabowo. They smell “Orba” resurrection. Since the sticker of ‘’wenak Jamanku  tho” appears, we are set to hate SBY-regime by rememorizing the 32-year of Soeharto’s era, the era which limits freedom, creativity, and transparency.

After all, for me, whoever the President of Indonesia is, I hope that he will elect Anies Baswedan as Education and Culture Minister. Both hashtag #IndonesiaBangkit and #RevolusiMental needs better education which will be provided by mr. Anies. I believe. And, when Anies Baswedan becomes the minister, i’m ready to back to education field, whether a teacher or curriculum planner.

For swing voters, I hope you to elect. Whatever your considerations. Just elect, participate, and celebrate.
